Accounting EdgeAccounting Edge was founded in 2002 to fill a gap identified in the accounting service industry for accountants that were not just technically competent to the highest standards, but also friendly, approachable and tuned-in to small business.

We are down-to-earth accountants who pride ourselves on being able to combine our relaxed, non-corporate structure with a professional work ethic.

With years of “hands-on” commercial experience in small business management and accounting, we understand the challenges and pressures unique to small business. We apply our cutting edge technical knowledge to your business to give it the edge.

Through regular seminars and research, we keep up to date with all the facets of tax law and accounting standards so you don’t have to.

After living and working in Asia and Melbourne, Louise settled on the Gold Coast 22 years ago. She established Accounting Edge after a successful career in management accounting in small to medium local companies including the construction industry, clothing wholesale and retail industries and printing industry, and later in a public tax firm.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Accounting Major through University of South East Queensland. She is a Full Public Practice Member of the NIA, an Australian Government Registered Tax Agent, a Registered ASIC Agent and a Professional National Accountant with the NIA.

Louise was born to be an accountant. She thrives on being able to assist business owners and managers that are serious about streamlining the day to day running of their business and all aspects of their financial lives.

When not extracting every last cent of tax refund for her clients, Louise makes the most of the Gold Coast outdoor lifestyle, beaching, camping and playing team sports.

For 15 years, Jackie gained invaluable life experience whilst travelling all over South Africa in her various managerial roles in the casino industry. She arrived back in Australia in 2003 having rid herself of the travel bug. She enrolled in an accounting degree with the aim to fulfill her lifelong ambition to be an accountant. In early 2006 she joined Accounting Edge where her client-focus and bookkeeping experience enables her to assist Louise in all aspects of tax preparation.

Early every morning Jackie can be found pounding the pavements of Mount Tamborine with her dogs and when she isn’t working hard at the books, she is pottering in the garden or lazing at the beach.

 

“In February I will write the final two exams towards my accounting degree so I can offer a full complement of accounting services to Accounting Edge clients. I look forward to a long, rewarding career in the accounting field.”
